5/11/2007: Stephen Has Completed "Pee-Wee's Playhouse"

This actually turned out to be a somewhat difficult task. It was pretty darn embarrassing at moments, but you know what, it turned out alright in the end.
No one said "room" at home. I then stopped by work in Morganton and fixed some stuff. One person said it there, to which I let out a strained yelp, which I'm sure confused them. Before lunch, I came to work in Hickory, where Allison and our coworker Daniel were well prepared to let me have it. I'd say I had to scream (albeit restrained) about 20 times prior to lunch. I seriously don't know why no one ever asked about it. Anyways, I recorded two sound clips during that time span. The first is of Allison and I talking. Obviously, as you will be able to hear, it is staged. However, upon seeing Daniel walk in the room, I turned on the recorder and got the second clip, which is not staged. After that, we went to lunch at Jason's Deli. This was the prime moment of the task. After Daniel and Allison let our coworker Erica know what was going on, she proceeded to use the word "room" a bit more than normal. As I screamed and screamed, I exercised less and less restraint. The last one was just flat out loud. I heard it echo off the walls on the other side of the place. While I stared blankly at the table, avoiding all eye contact, my coworkers informed me that probably over half the people in the place were staring me down. I let out another one in the parking lot when I got a text message from Nathan that asked if we were "eating in the dining ROOM". The only one I refused all day was when I was sitting in a meeting with my main two bosses and looked out the door to see Daniel holding a big white sign with ROOM written on it in big black letters, though the task didn't actually say I had to do written ones... ;P
So, in the end, it wasn't THAT bad, but it was, at times, pretty intense.
